Kugelhopf
Kugelhopf is a large marble cake that is quite popular in Austria, Switzerland, southern Germany, and the French region of Alsace. The cake consists of a soft yeast dough containing – depending on the regional recipe – almonds, candied fruits, nuts, and / or raisins.
I love Kugelhopf !! Hopefully i will have one waiting for me when i arrive in Austria on thursday

I like the dark color. Think my sister would enjoy this — she loves fruitcake, and this looks similar — but much, much better.
It does have candied fruits in it! (Well, usually does…)
